My Little Home Emporium began by accident — not from a big sustainability mission, but from an empty shop and a lockdown. When my travel business was grounded during the pandemic, a friend suggested taking a market stall to sell a few things. Why bother with a stall when I already had a shop sitting idle?

So we opened up on market day, sold a few bits and pieces, and soon people started asking if we’d sell their items too. That’s how I discovered the consignment business model — popular in the U.S., almost unheard of here in the UK — and realised we’d stumbled into an untapped market. 

Now, the Emporium has grown into a friendly space full of quality furniture, homewaresand fashion with character all looking for their next home. It’s about reusing what’s already great, meeting good people along the way and enjoying the adventure of running a shop that has a story behind everything in it.
