Qianlong Dynasty Blue and White Ginger Jar
These grand and majestic antique Ginger Jars bare the mark in seal of the Qianlong dynasty.
Whilst the marks are consistent with the period, they are transfer-printed under the glaze – a technique established in the 20th century, and these Jars in particular were most likely made in Macao.
Historically referred to as a ‘Ginger Jar’ they are of course used today as a striking vase for flowers or can still be used as an impressive statement piece for your lounge, hall or dining room.
